About Me

I have always enjoyed living a healthy lifestyle. I became a vegetarian at the age of eleven and naturally progressed to embracing a wholegrain plant-based. I enjoy being outdoors with Mother Nature.

Originally from a coastal community in West Cork, I ‘set sail’ for France where I cast my anchor for 13 years; I returned to Cork in 2005. Having obtained a BA Hons in Geography and English in 2012 from University College Cork, I embarked on a PhD journey in the discipline of Cultural Geography. Travelling and discovering (and rediscovering) new horizons fascinates me.

I am interested in people and places from a cultural perspective as well as having a keen appreciation for food on both a cultural and nutritional level.
